Need the best CD Liners

So, we've reached that point where we need a booster or something for overnights. We've been using the reg. and infant liners with the BG and a kissaluv super booster (they sent them to me so I've been using them after we have a few leaks a couple of months ago). There haven't been any leaks again but we're getting close. Her diapers are so heavy in the morning.

I know MM had mentioned a good extra insert, but I don't have the link anymore after my computer bit the dust.

So, help me out :)

Re: Need the best CD Liners

  • We use two regular BG liners.  I had some extra that I picked up at a yard sale (unused!).  I've heard that hemp ones also work really well.

  • No matter how many we put in we couldn't fix our problem and had to go to Huggies Overnights. My kid is a urination machine at night. Some mornings his diapers are soooo heavy, but the 'sposies are the only thing that work.

  • I use a BG regular insert plus a Joey Bunz Hemp insert and it works well for us. I've seen people on the CD board rave about AFFF Hemp inserts, but they are hard to get. I've also seen a lot of people on there who say fitteds+wool is the way to go for overnight, but I can't justify the price of wool and I can't make them myself :P

If you decide to try hemp, I've heard it's important to put the hemp behind the microfiber insert (so the microfiber is closest to baby) because the hemp is slow to absorb (but it absorbs a ton), so the microfiber will quickly catch the pee and then transfer it to the hemp.

  • Good to know MIT! I'd like something that works, but thin. DD is small and with the reg. and infant liners in her diaper it gets a little too packed down there :(
  • What MIT said! We use hemp babies doublers ($3 for the large ones) for naps and bedtime. I put them between the newborn insert and the regular. No leaks! I have a link for hemp fabric I'll send you tonight when I'm home. You can make your own. I'm going to order some soon I think. Got the link from the CD board and they said they couldn't tell the difference from AFFF
