xp: well girls, the contract is signed
Woot! They signed it. I signed it. DH signed it.
I am really going to do this surrogacy. like for realz.
I'm
so excited. I just had to share. Our tentative date for transfer is
April 1 or April 8th. They're closed on the 25th which is more in tune
with my cycle so they're sticking me on bcp for a while. (groan) We
scrambled to get the contract finalized and signed today because CD 1
could be tomorrow or any of the following days. We'd hate to be out
another cycle just because of paperwork.
So glad that part is over and I can focus on the next part of the journey. Hmmm I don't think they make a ticker for this sort of thing...
Anyway, just wanted to update. I'm not looking for kudos or anything like that. Just maybe some good "please let the first try work" vibes if you've got them to spare.
Warning
No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml

Ahhh that's so wild!!! But what a relief (in a way??) to have that chapter closed. Full steam ahead!
Wishing you, and them, all the best in this journey. What a trip it will be...

Congratulations! I'll be sure to send lots of T&Ps your way for success on the first try!
And of course you can make a ticker. Just name it for 'the bun'.
Yes, the contract and then deciding how many embryos to transfer (to avoid twins) have been the two biggest stressors in the process. Testing and psychological evaluation were a breeze compared to that.
Knowing that I'll leave the girls for 4-5 days is also tearing me apart but hopefully it's only once. Then it's smooth sailing! (God willing.)
it really does feel meant to be. Especially after I finally got all of the docs scanned and sent this morning, then our insurance came through "approved," they placed the order for my meds, and Dh's testing came through all within an hour. It's also the day that the father becomes a US citizen. He's from South Africa.
I have until the day of transfer to decide on how many but I've decided on just one right now.
