Friiiiiiiiiiiday!

Wooo!  Friday!

I'm looking forward to this weekend.  Tomorrow we're getting our couch and chairs finally and I'm getting my hair cut and highlighted.  My roots are killing me!  Then, dinner with my step-dad's family to celebrate all the Feb/Mar birthdays.

After that we're thinking about making the 3 hr drive out to the ILs.  Derek's dad was able to get us a window for free for the kitchen, and he just had triple hernia surgery, so, we should be nice and go visit.

What does everyone else have on the go this weekend?  Anything fun?

  • TGIF!

Raynes glad to hear that furniture is in your near future.

Today is my first day back to work this week.  Extra short week for me, but I couldn't take another day on the couch.

This weekend we will be baby proofing the house, since Christian is just about crawling (he goes backwards and almost has forward figured out), and now has figured out how to pull himself up.  Ugh, I don't think I am ready for this. My babies are getting so big.

Otherwise it will be hoping & praying that we all are 100% by the end of the weekend, and disinfecting the house.

    Have a great weekend ladies!

  • Yay for Friday! Not too much going on this weekend. We are getting together with our accountant tomorrow to do our taxes finally. I believe DH plans on doing a bunch of yardwork tomorrow. I am getting a pedicure this weekend- I haven't had one since September! Now that it is flip flop weather again, my toes need some love.

  • Yes, TGIF!  And TG for furniture raynes!

Should be a quiet weekend here.  Probably a tv night in tonight.  Tomorrow another driving lesson and we're heading out to a great Argentine steak house for dinner.  Yum.  Depending on the weather, maybe we'll be more active on Sunday, but no plans.

  • This weekend is work.  Our own special version of March Madness; nothing to do with basketball.  FML right now.

Lee has been shopping online for furniture.  I don't know what he's plotting, but I'll find out soon enough.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • TGIF!

This weekend should be a pretty quiet one so hopefully I can get some stuff done around the house. I am hoping to get out a little though, I am getting cabin fever pretty bad!

    Have a great Friday ladies!

  • Happy Friday!

Should be a nice weekend. Josh and I have to do some shopping at Target tomorrow before our grocery shopping, so I'm looking forward to that. We're also thinking of having dinner at a popular pizza place, so I'm going to try to make reservations today. The shopping is prep for my parents' visit and I wouldn't mind getting some new running gear, too.

Sunday's my long run and also the day that Josh goes to a conference until Tuesday, so I'll be on my own for a few days. After my run, I plan on making these pancakes for brunch.

  • Happy Friday!

V's cousin from Montreal, who just had her third baby in December, is visiting this week so we're going to see her. I'm excited, I love his cousins.

Now that we're less than 3 weeks away from moving, methinks it's time to start packing.

  • Yay Friday!

Today is unofficial St. Patrick's Day on campus, which means that students have already started drinking. It will be an interesting day at work to say the least.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing this weekend. My mom texted me this morning to say that she's going up to my grandma's this weekend for her birthday, so I may end up doing that. Otherwise I'm planning on getting caught up on my  sleep Big Smile

  • Flip flops weather? Jealous!

I'm going jeans shopping tonight, writing a performance review for my student teacher, and getting a financial plan in order. I was looking at the employment stats for teachers in Ontario, and, as one of the 15% of new(er) teachers that have jobs, it's become painfully clear to me that I won't be able to find a job in Ottawa any time soon, which means we won't be moving there any time soon.

I think the new goal then, is to get there before our first born goes into kindergarten. That gives the market 4-5 years (since we haven't even started TTCing yet), allows Phil to finish his CGA schooling, and to find a higher paying job, and for us to get in on the housing situation.

  • I can't wait for flip flop weather! It's supposed to be almost 50 here this weekend, so I might try to get a walk in, even if it is raining. That's what umbrellas are for, right?

This weekend we'll be cleaning and moving more furniture around. I can't wait for this process to be over. I didn't realize setting up a nursery would be so time consuming. I also didn't realize we had so much crap that needed to be cleaned out. Hopefully DH can learn to start parting with his crap he moved into the house 5 years ago, like the hackey sack collection in his desk. Really?

I'm tired and cranky today, thanks to a drunken hubby coming home at midnight last night and waking up the whole house.

  • Friday, finally!!

Tomorrow we are getting our SUV and then going to a cloth diapering seminar. I think after that we are hanging out with friends. Sunday we are going to Ikea with some other friends. I hope to get a few baby things and just have a relaxing rest of Sunday once we're back.

  • So I'm like, the only person on the planet who thinks this week flew by then? :)

Not doing so much this weekend. Hanging out at home for the most part; I want to go see Beastly at some point so I can ogle my pretend boyfriend. And on Sunday we're off to my parents place for a Cricket World Cup party ::dances:: South Africa-England match, should be an awesome time.

  • Alix, I think you are the only person who thought the week flew by.  The end of winter always leaves me in a bad mood.  Chicago goes from bitter cold to rainy and muddy.  I can't wait until we have sunny spring, not gross spring.

Tonight, B and I are headed to the Blackhawks game, which I'm super excited about.  Tomorrow morning, we're meeting with another contractor about our bathrooms.  We just haven't been able to find one who we trust that is reasonably priced.

Aside from that, we don't have much planned for the weekend.  B needs to study for the second level of his CAIA (certified alternative investment analyst) certification.  The test is next week.  I'll probably use the opportunity to run some errands and maybe do something with my mom.

  • Finally.

This week sucked. This weekend my plans include sleep, sleep and sleep.

We bought a new duvet this week and put it in the cover last night. I had the hardest time waking up, it was like cuddling with clouds.

  • I'm so happy it's Friday. Tonight DH and I are going to stay home, order Mexican food and relax. I'm so glad we don't have any plans for the first time in a long while.

Tomorrow I plan to wake up early to sort through baby's stash of shower gifts. Manuel's putting her dresser together and I want to wash all her clothes so I can fold and put them away. In the afternoon we're going to a friends husband's birthday party. Looking forward to just hanging with our friends again.

Sunday we don't have plans. I want to go grocery shopping and clean up the house a bit. Other than that, I plan to take it easy and try to get some rest.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  • TGIF!!!!  I'm excited to have another weekend completely off.

This will be a pretty typical weekend.  Nothing too exciting.  Hoping to get a nice long run in at some point.  My friend moved into her new house a few weeks ago so I'm hoping to stop by and check it out.

  • Hi!  I made it to Athens and had a great lunch with a former co-worker.  I'm spending the rest of the weekend just hanging with my family and, apparently, doing taxes.
