We met the beginning of March in 2005. We were both going abroad for school and had been in a prep class together for it but never interacted until we arrived aboard (the 8th here time, 9th Australia time).
We didn't start dating until September 5th that year.

I commented on FB, but we met on March 8th, 2006!! Just 4 days after you and Jeff met for the first time...crazy, huh?!
Funny story: We were supposed to meet in February for a lunch blind date, but Alexi emailed me the day of and cancelled it saying he had a funeral to go to. I figured he caught site of me at work and didn't like what he saw, so he cancelled our date and used the funeral as an excuse. Come to find out one of his former bosses had really died after a long battle with cancer. We rescheduled again for later in February and at the last minute, I got sick with bronchitis, so I had to cancel. We rescheduled one last time before giving up for good on March 8th and FINALLY got to meet and the rest is history.
Tim and I met at the beginning of our sophomore year of high school. His next door neighbor/family friend and one of my good friends was older and drove us to school every day.
ETA: it was Fall 2000. We started dating 2 years later. The end of this month (the 28th) is our 8.5 year anniversary
