Thanks ladies! I'm due September 14th I think (my doc is going by 9/16 though). I've had a few ultrasounds and everything looks great so I figured it was finally time to share the news. We told our immediate families at 8 weeks (after ultrasound #1) and I'm sharing the news with my uncles & cousins on my mom's side this weekend. Next week, we'll be in CA and I can tell my grandmother in person. I'm so thrilled at that opportunity!
So far, everything has been great and we are so excited. I tested the weekend of my missed period and had a very faint line but I assumed that it was where a line would appear but didn't think it was a real line. On that Monday, I finally googled "faint positive" and realized I should test again.
DH was traveling that week and his client had closed so he couldn't get his work done-- he was debating staying the weekend down in NC to finish training the following week and I really wanted to tell him in person. I wasn't going to do it over the phone... so all week, I was dying with anxiety. He finally came home on Friday at 11PM.... and after 5 days of holding on to the biggest secret of our lives, I was able to share the news!

oh I can't imagine having to hold it in for that long before DH got home! That's a fear of mine (when the time comes) because sometimes MH travels for work, or goes away on the weekends to go skiing.
I'll add you to our list!
DH is gone almost every week, so I knew that would most likely be the case, but I didn't think he might not come home that weekend! It was tough! and thanks for adding me to the list

Holy crap, I would have gone BSC after 5 days! I could barely hold it in for an hour waiting for DH to come home!
Glad to hear things are going great and congrats again!
There's no way I could've held it in for a week from DH...I had a whole cute plan to tell him and instead shoved the stick in his face as soon as he opened the door.
Congrats again, I'm so excited for you guys. Dewey and Simon will make great big brothers.
