Hi everyone!
I've been posting solely on my month board, but thought I'd finally dive in and introduce myself over here. I'm Erica, my husband is Alan, and we were married October 1st. We live in Belmont now - just moved there 2 months ago from Quincy. I work in higher ed., he's in finance. We like going out for good food and good wine, and also staying in with good wine and mediocre food. My husband is obsessed with sports, and I apparently seem to be learning by osmosis because I can (mostly) keep up with him. I read a lot, and watch too much tv.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Re: Intro
Welcome.
I, too, adore food and wine. It doesn't have to really be good either way. I just adore them both.
Ugh white zin. Gross. My mother is obsessed with White Zin.
My mom has recently discovered prosecco. But she doesn't seem to get that it's not really something you have with dinner. She rarely drinks, though, so it's not like she goes out to restaurants and orders it all the time, or has a bottle on hand at all times. But every now and then she'll say, "maybe I'll have some prosecco!" all excitedly. She's a nutbag.
When we were planning the wedding, she told me, "remember, I like sweet wines!" I just smiled and nodded. I told my husband and he said, "yeah, we're not planning our wine selection based on the half-glass your mom will drink."
Welcome to the board and I agree, jump right in! I completely understand learning by osmosis from the hubs--I know way more about cars and motorcycles than I ever thought I would!
I live on the Belmont border of Waltham. Once the weather improves, we'll have to do another GTG.
We're super close, then, because I'm 1/2 mile from Waverly Square.
And thanks for the welcome, everyone!
