Wow. Bitter much? While I have to agree that a lot of the 5 points made can be hurdles in marriage the author clearly has some serious issues and pent up resentment. It gave me a good laugh though.

I agree, totally bitter. If you marry the right person, there are a million reasons to get married. While I don't think you have to be married to have a happy/complete life, I also would never say you shouldn't because of any of those reasons.
Well, maybe IL's - but compared to what I've read on TN, I have it super easy with mine! They never pry, if anything I wonder why they don't care more about what's going on with their son and me.
Haha. Yeah, I've come to realize that mine aren't so bad either. Plus, a lot of the stuff mentioned can be a hurdle in any relationship once the "honeymoon" phase is over.
Marriage was always a take it or leave it thing for me personally. I don't think I would have NEEDED it to be happy with DH, but a lot of people do. To be so out right against it however just seems like a lot of angry wasted energy. I'd bet there is an ugly marriage in her past.
I actually kind of agree with #10 that marriage is kind of an outdated institution.
I read that one and thought of the article I read this morning about Mike Huckabee shaming Natalie Portman for having kids out of wedlock.
