I just saw your post about Aruba on the Travel board....Although Eagle Beach is a prettier and a less crowded beach. IMO the hotels on that beach are on the older side and not as up to par as those on Palm Beach and most are across the street from the beach. Plus, all night life is on the strip of Palm beach now (so less meed for taxi's). Hotels may not make a difference to you, I just thought I'd share. Me....I like a nice, clean, modern room/pool area.
I've been to Aruba twice, stayed at the RIU and the Divi Phoenix. If I were to go again, I'd stay at the Hyatt, Radisson, or the Marriott Surf Club.

I've stayed at the Marriott Surf Club and Ocean Club. Great location. And that area is where all of the nightlife is now. When we were there in Nov a bartender was telling us that downtown closes early now, and most places have moved to the high rise area.

A taxi driver told us this exact thingwhen we were there in July.
