Sorry-another house question
Our realtor is coming to appraise our house on Thursday. I just need to have it picked up...not do anything special? He'll tell me what else we need to do for staging...right?

Re: Sorry-another house question
For the purposes of meeting with your agent. There is NOTHING that you need to do. The job of your agent is to give you a fresh perspective about your home - what it can sell for - what they recommend which is subjective - what you can do to enhance the value and ease of sale.
Expect prior to putting it on the market that you would de-clutter, de-weed, de-personalize and place that stuff in storage. Expect to make your cabinets and your closet and all of your rooms clean and organized. Expect that there may be some furniture that needs re-arranged or removed to help with flow and appeal. Expect that there may be a list of items that you could/should do in order to expedite sell and receive your expected price such as a fresh coat of paint, updating or removing window treatments, and so forth.
Of course, you can certainly get a head start on the above before meeting with your agent but it is not necessary.
