Re: are people still here for a FFFC?

  • Today we got an email from HR about food theft, *again*. Also someone pooped on the floor in the ladies room. There were piles of #2 on the toilet seat and the floor.

    I work with animals.

My company is being bought and I am secretly hoping for a fat severance package that will allow me to figure out what to do when I grow up.

    Ick!WTF?

I bought a pack of Cadbury eggs when I went to get tissues. And a soda. I've spent a lot of money on bottled soda since I suppossedly gave it up a month ago.

And the cadubry eggs are going fast.

Of course, I am in the office alone.

  • Every summer I see Kenny Chesney in concert. Last summer he didn't tour but I got to see him at the Houston Rodeo. Anyway, tickets went on sale today for a show in Columbus that I was really wanting to go to. Kenny has always prided himself in keeping ticket cost low (typically less than $70/ticket) in light of the economy, blah blah blah. Um, WTF?! Why are tickets $199 for sandbar and $116 for Field and lower level seating?! This is insane. DH has got me on such a budget right now I was pushing it thinking that tickets would be $70. Now there is no way he's going to let me get tickets. So disappointed.

  • #1 - I've been so stressed at work I've polished off about 2/3rds of a bottle of vodka over the last two nights, in my defense it's not a large bottle but still.

#2- I don't want to cook dinner, I gave JT pizza for lunch and I'm seriously thinking about picking up one on the way home but he'd kill me.

  • Claire- That is freakin' disgusting...how does that even happen?!

#1: I just scheduled your niece to get her ears pierced next week at the pedi's office.  Alexi gave his blessing (finally), but didn't want to be a part of intentionally inflicting pain on our daughter even if it will mean she'll heal from it easier and quicker (than the 6 mo it took me to heal after I got mine done in 2nd grade) and won't remember it any worse than her regular shots.  I'm excited, but also feeling a little guilty about it like I'm a mean Mommy.  Plus, she's going to look so grown up...  Oh and I'm not telling Alexi I'm going through with it.  I want to see how long it takes him to notice.

#2: I was looking at Mariela the other day while she slept and the girl has been blessed with my bushy eyebrows and I actually thought in my head that girlfriend could use a wax.  No, I would never do that to her.  She'll have to learn the joys of waxing when she's a teenager.

    That is so gross

  • I am seriously sick of office politics and backstabbing I have to deal with from the office in Huntsville. I am so over it, I seriously hope I get in to school so I can go to part time and I won't have to "fight" for my responsibilities. I will happily give up the major contracts and stick with my smaller stuff to limit my interaction with the twatwaffles in that other state...

Claire, I am sorry that you have to deal with bathroom nastiness!

  • MIL gave B a bath the other day while she was there. DH made it sound like B had a really messy diaper and she needed to be cleaned up better than a wipe would do. I was irritated because I don't want her giving her a bath but if she needed it that is fine. Yesterday when I was doing diaper laundry I didn't find said diaper so I called MIL to make sure it wasn't still at their house. Nope. No dirty diaper, she just thought it would calm B down before a nap. UGH! Seriously?! Soooo annoyed. I don't have a clue what soap she had there to use and I'm pretty sure she doesn't have lotion for her either. Why doesn't she have any of that you ask... because we haven't bought it for them. Because we "said we would supply everything for their house" - uh no we didn't. J said we would buy some things for them since they are watching B. But back to the bath - she then let B's hair dry all crazy like and didn't comb it so it was sticking up all over when I went to do some pictures with her yesterday.

I know it is all petty but it annoyed me. I'm just worried about her doing a bath because if B slips and falls from being all wet MIL will lose it and then freak out the way she did when she got her scratch (running and screaming from the room - that terrified me beyond words).

    Ok I'm done.

    My FFC-

I'm slightly annoyed that my SIL wants a ski weekend for her 30th bday. We've rented a house and there will be about 15 people, I'm sure it will be fun. I'm annoyed b/c I didin't even get a birthday card or present from either of my SILs  just a happy bday text. I send them cards on their bdays every year and get them a present from us. My bday sucks b/c it's on Jan 1 and no one is ever around to do anything fun. I bug DH every year to plan something fun for me and he never does.. So I guess I'm a little more jealous than annoyed

  • FFC # 2

I'm kinda mad at DH right now. We met 5 years ago today, had out first date 5 years ago tomorrow, he knows it, we discussed it last week about going to dinner to celebrate and he didn't even say a word about it to me today. And we have been together All.Day.Long. (work together now) Even after I said something to him.

I know him I should expect him not to say anything except I had high hopes because he didn't get me a card for our 2nd wedding anniversary and I made a huge deal about it. He knows I'm still not happy that he did (or didn't) do that so I was hoping he would try and make it up to me but it doesn't seem like that is happening. I'm sad about it.

    Oh. My. Goodness.

I have to believe that you work with someone who is mentally unstable. No sane person would do that, right???
