People are crazy
One of the clients I met with yesterday is convinced he has Lyme's disease despite having never been bitten by a tick or getting a positive Lyme's test from the many doctors he's seen. He knows a lot of people with Lyme's, so I think he's attributing all his symptoms (neurological issues, TMJ pain, cervical headaches, rashes) to Lyme's.
In the middle of our interview, he tells me that even his horses have Lyme's and that his vet gave him Doxycycline to treat them. Then he tells me that he is taking the horse's meds because nothing his doctors do is fixing him. I was like "you're doing what!?!?" Apparently he only takes 1 pill and the horses get 40+.
So flipping nutso.
