What was the most unique thing...
about your wedding?

My Favorite Part of Spring~Red Sox Baseball!
Re: What was the most unique thing...
We did something like that, too. We used pictures of us at different places we had been together...Black Lake, Niagara Falls, Virginia Beach, Rehoboth Beach.
Also, we had a cupcake tower instead of a regular cake. I don't know how unique that is anymore, but I loved it!
I wore blue and white striped toe-socks. (because my shoes were white wedge heel flip flops and it was the end of February!)
we had build-a-bears on the guest book table (Canadian bride bear and American groom bear)
We got married at Genesee Country Village and DH and I had a horse and carriage, so while we were doing family photos outside of the church after the ceremony, our guests were able to take a horse and carriage ride around the village.
Afterwards when we had photos of just the 2 of us taken, it was nice to ride together alone from spot to spot. I liked that we had those bits of alone time before the reception.
hmmm...one thing? lol
during our unity candle instead of just having our mothers light our candles- we had everyone at the ceremony involved...when the guest came in they got a vigil candle and when it was time the pastor lit the candles our fathers had and then our fathers went and lit the last person at the back of the church and the flame was passed person to person until it got to our mothers who then lit ours....I wanted everyone to be involved because all the people there had some part in helping to keep our loves flame alive...
we also did a balloon drop during our first dance...I always loved how they did it at the presidential inaguration and since I probably wont get to be president- I wanted it at my wedding...
and I walked down the aisle to Dancing Queen by Abba
We were so sick we weren't there much...
We had each guest request a song with their RSVP and then played all of the requests during the reception.
IMO, we had lots of fun, unique things at our wedding. The table numbers were all famous race horses with their corresponding numbers.
We served Jerry's famous margarita's during our cocktail hour (along with everything else). So, folks were greeted with those and that is our signature cocktail.
We did not throw the bouquet or garter. It puts people on the spot and we weren't into it.
We had the Refrigerators as our band!!! I think that was pretty unique and worth every penny.
I had cupcakes as our cake, this was before the big cupcake craze.
we got married on nye.
we had a balloon drop(not sure who did it for us)
we had the hats and horns for everyone.
we had little bride veils and groom top hat stirrers at the bar

I love this idea!
We had a bagpiper for our ceremony, which I guess is kind of different. And for my Father-daughter dance, I had my two sisters come dance with us for the end of the song ("My Girl").
We had a cupcake tower (which was unique 4 years ago
.
We did a sand unity symbol, instead of lighting candles.
I had guests sign a book that was full of pictures of our travels.
Our table numbers were all postcards of places we had traveled to.
We did the sand ceremony too! no candles for us.
We had a giant cake that each slice was Neapolitan (vanilla, choc and strawberry) and then had a 16ft desert table. I love sweets. Can you tell?
We had a custom cake topper made of clay people that were replicas of us and out two cats.
Can you tell we love our cats?
I used damask and branches before it became "popular" hahaha
