Rant: H woke up two days ago with a swollen jaw, which he could tell immediately was wisdom tooth pain. He had two pulled back in '09, and we were waiting for him to get on insurance (which he did in January) to get the other two pulled. So at least this time it won't cost anything. The problem is, the swelling was because the tooth and gum had become infected, so now he's on antibiotics until the infection is gone, and then they can pull the tooth. So we're looking at a week at least of him being on Vicodin and antibiotics until the surgery can take place. Win.
Rave: It's Friday, we booked the truck for our big move (Sat., April 9!) and we're going up to MA next weekend! H is going to PAX East (a gaming convention) and I'm going to his cousin's wife's baby shower. I can't wait to see them all! Oh, and to move
Re: Friday rants and raves!
Rave : DATE NIGHT SATURDAY! Fancy dinner at a place we've never tried. Followed by Michael Feinstein and the Orchestra playing Sinatra Tunes. I cannot wait to spend perfect quatliy time together.
Rant: I work late hours during the week, seemingly every week. DH is picking up hours every stinking weekend all morning and afternoon. I hardly feel like we see each other and when we do we are exhausted. I wish I could get a handlle on this.
And Xanthe-dog has the pukes and is slowly licking her feet into big gross sores. I should probably take her to the vet but she goes thru phases and I feel like I should again just wait it out. Poor thing.
Rant: We had someone start on 2/14. She still doesn't have a PC. I put a ticket in with IT and they said it's been resolved. Well, no, it hasn't been resolved because she still doesn't have a PC. The kicker is that there's a PC in the cube next to me that's not being used. Just re-image that one and give it to her. She can't work to her capacity without functioning equipment.
I stopped at Starbucks and got a skinny vanilla latte. I know that it gives me a stomach ache everytime I get one, but I still do it. Now, I have a stomach ache. Way to go, Steph. Way to go.
Rave: DH doesn't have to work at all this weekend. It'll be nice to actually have a couple days to ourselves.
DH and I went bowling last night and I bowled a 149! My all-time high!
I also tried foam rolling yesterday. Amazing! I'm hooked on it now. I did it after my morning workout. I feel so good now
Rant: I got to work about half an hour ago (10:15) when I'm supposed to be here at 9, because I had to go take a drug test for my new job. I'm starving, because I didn't have time to grab breakfast. There's a snack drawer in the manager's office, but she's been pretending I don't exist for the past week, so I'm not going in there for a granola bar!
Rave: I don't have to work this weekend!!! That might sound small, but I'm used to working just about every weekend in the spring because I'm a tax accountant, and now that I'm switching jobs, I won't have to at my new job... and I refuse to come in on a Saturday at my current job when I'm not compensated for the additional time. So, it's going to be a glorious weekend, even if it storms like they're predicting!

It helps work out any knots you have in your muscles. It's like a deep tissue massage at home. After a hard workout and on your off days when you're sore, it feels so nice.
haha I am so glad you asked because I totally thought she was talking about foam hair rollers lol

Rave: Leaving for vacation tomorrow!!!!! Taking our belated honeymoon cruise to the southern caribbean!
Rant: I have to board my puppy for 9 days and I'm kind of freaking out about it. #2 -- my work keyboard has started making this weird squeaking noise and it's driving me bonkers.
Rave: Yay for Friday! I'm so looking forward to our dinner tonight.
Rant: why do people let their dogs wander around without being on a leash? I was walking our pup, and came across what I thought was a stray dog. It looked like it had broken off its leash (had a collar and tag but a little piece of rope attached to it). I took my pup back home, got in the car, and drove to where I saw the dog. It was sitting on someone's front lawn looking at the door, and within the door a woman was watching him. I got her to come out and tell me that it was her dog. He was still sitting on the lawn without being leashed. Glad he wasn't a stray or lost, but keep your dog on a leash so he doesn't get turned into a shelter!
Rant: Too much drama at work today. Can't really go into details but by 9:30AM I decided I was going to have low expectations for a "good day" today. Hate to sound like a pessimist but the lowered expectations helped.
Rave: Almost finished with my NFP practitioner app. Love that sense of starting something new and setting new goals. Am meeting my running goals for the 10k (again, feels so good to meet goals!). And H and I are going to discuss what we're giving up for Lent tonight (okay I know that doesn't sound like fun haha, but this is the first year where we really need to do this together, and life has been so crazy lately that I am actually looking forward to simplifying our lives for Lent and finding more peace and quiet).
Rant: I'm too darn lazy to actually rant
.... but for ranting sake... I don't wanna go to work tonight, at all!
Rave: My downstairs is clean, including the kitchen, dining room, living room, and guest bathroom. Yayyyy! My parents are coming over this weekend to help me organize my room (I know this sounds retarded, but my dresser and 9 square cubicle thing is still at their house and I am starting to really NEED it)
I'm a day late but...
Rant: H is super sick, I feel awful for him and have never seen him this sick. I feel like his mom having to take care of him, but I guess it's practice?
Rave: I bought awesome curtains today for our new place! JC Penny is having a great sale, curtains are darn expensive man!! Hate spending $ on them but they are such a necessity.
