One of my former coworkers is getting married on the 19th. She and I were really close when we worked together. She was supposed to come to my wedding, but was diagnosed with leukemia the day before. Fortunately she's in remission and in the process met her fiance. She's a wonderful person and I am so excited that she's found a great guy, and I would love to be there to witness her marriage. She had always said she wouldn't dream of having me miss her wedding. I left her department in July and I've only seen her a few times in passing since then.
The last time I saw her was December/January. I asked how the wedding planning was going, she said it was great and she was working on invitations so she could get mine in the mail. I never got one. I'm trying to plan my birthday overnight vacation which will be around her wedding day (DH and I are both off the 19th-22nd), and I haven't picked which night we'll go up because I'm still kind of hopeful that I'm still invited to her wedding.
I kind of want to email her and ask if we're invited or not. Part of me knows if she wanted me there, she would have already invited me, but I also don't want to plan to be out of town and at the last minute she says "So are you still coming to my wedding?"
So, would you contact her and ask if you're invited, or assume you're not invited and make plans for that day/weekend?

Thanks, that's what I figured. I didn't want to put her in an awkward position (I hated when people contacted me before my wedding asking about their invitation), I'm just kind of bummed I got cut from the guest list somehow.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
