AW - We bought a house! (PIP)

Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA the past month or so. I'm trying to catch up a bit on posts, did I miss anything major?

I just wanted to share some good news that DH and I bought a house! We've already had the inspection, and are currently applying for a mortgage. It's in my hometown, 3 miles from my parents' house. It's going to be a great place for entertaining as it has big yard (1/2 acre), bright open spaces in the main living area, and finished basement with a wet bar. Other details: 1832 sqft (not including basement which almost doubles sqft); 3 beds 2.5 baths. It was built in 1960, so it needs a few aesthetic updates, but overall is a great house. I love all the windows along the back side of the house.

Front of the house, after all the snow this winter I'm looking forward to that 2 car attached garage :-)

We're very excited about our plans to decorate & renovate. I'm looking forward to color on the walls after living in apartment white for so long. Our first project is to rip up the carpet and refinish the hardwood floors throughout the house.
