I'm just now sitting down to plan ours and could use ideas! I'll post what I have as soon as I figure it out.
Re: Menus for the week?
I put mine together real quickly on Friday, so it's not the best menu in the world. I was pooped from vacation.
Sunday: Country fried steak
Monday: Chicken tacos
Tuesday: Crockpot honey chicken
Wednesday: Pasta and meatballs
Thursday: BBQ glazed chicken
Friday: Breakfast
Saturday: Chicken parmesan
Sunday: Crockpot pork recipe that Britjoy posted a few weeks ago
Monday: Cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries
Tuesday: Chicken Noodle Soup Casserole
http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2011/03/step-by-step-chicken-noodle-soup-casserole/
Wednesday: Chicken Enchiladas
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Out
Okay, here's what I came up with:
Sunday - old WW hamburger recipe I found, baked sweet potato fries, broccoli
Monday - Crockpot sweet and sour chicken
Tuesday - Chipotle bean burritos and salad
Wednesday - frozen chicken and vegetable thing - lazy night after a workout
Thursday - Steak and blue cheese salad
Friday - Deviled chicken and salad
I went nuts on the cooking light website.
Tonight - Leftover hot dogs from last night with roasted broccoli
Monday - chicken stir fry
Tuesday - this chick pea pasta salad thing I found on Cooking Light
Wednesday - Red Beans & Rice
Thursday - $1 slices, what?
Friday - Haven't decided.
tonight - chana masala with mashed potatoes (random craving)
monday - grilled portabella burgers, sweet potato fries
tuesday - bite club
wednesday - pierogies, red cabbage
thursday - baked southwest eggrolls, texmex chopped salad
friday - out with visiting sorority sister, don't know where... don't want to go...
This was my last week dinner:
Monday: Sesame Tilapia from Clean Eating with the chickpea salad I posted the other day
Tuesday: Chicken Salad
Wednesday: Leftover Chickpea salad on top of a bag of baby spinach
Thursday: Chicken Stir Fry
Friday: Went out for Pizza
This is what I have so far:
Sunday: Steak sandwiches and potato salad
Monday: Not sure since we have childbirth class
Tuesday: Brinner (eggs, bacon & pancakes) since it's Fat Tuesday
Wednesday: Something meatless (since it's Ash Wednesday)
Thursday: undecided
Friday: undecided
Saturday: undecided
Considering that I cried this morning when I looked at pictures from this weekend, here is my menu most of which are WW recipes and I will lighten the one that's not:
Tonight: shrimp kabobs
Monday: Chicken Enchiladas
Tuesday: Pea & Prosciutto Raviolis
Wednesday: Poulet Au Vinaigre
Thursday: Shephards Pie
Monday - porterhouse steaks and salad
Tuesday - leftover steak and salad
Wednesday - chicken and salad
Thursday - leftover chicken and salad
Friday - pork and salad
We through in grilled veggies, roasted veggies (sweet potatoes), beans, here and there. Also cook the meat in different ways - grilled, broiled, breaded, cooked in wine, stewed, etc. Those details have not been decided.
What kind of lettuce do you for salad? Fresh or in the bag or in the plastic container?
Mine always seems to go limp really quickly (that's what she said) and I have to just plan salads the first few days of the week or stop at the grocery store mid-week.
We buy the Publix brand romaine hearts that come four to a pack. We usually buy two of those a week or so, but DH is a salad-eating fiend.
Recipe please.
This is it except in the magazine it says raviolis instead of tortellini. Also I'm not using heavy cream, I'll probably do half and half to lighten it a bit.
M - tacos
T - spaghetti
W - grilled chicken, grilled veggies, pasta salad
R - going out with my parents
F - we'll be in NYC
We're super boring this week, but we have a ton to do to get ready for our trip and to get ready for B to spend 4 days with grandma and grandpa, so we needed easy stuff.
Monday - crockpot chicken tacos
Tuesday - Grilled fish, oven roasted squash & zucchini, some sort of potato
Wednesday - Leftover chicken tacos (unless we eat them for lunches), otherwise grilled chicken with cheese tortellini.
Thursday - Eating out at a local soup and sandwich type place.
Friday - maybe order pizza?
Saturday - My DH is going fishing in the morning so he hopes we'll have fresh fish for that night.
