We should have our own weekly check in
So what's going on with your LO this week?
Kiley wants to crawl so bad, she's got all the motions, she just can't get them to coordinate. She gets up on her knees, gets her arms and then falls on her tummy, lol ti's so funny to watch, she will get it soon!
Re: Mommas Check In
OMG Campbell -- way to go!!! Kiley's going to get there
Jacob was dragging himself across the floor for what seemed like 2 months before he figured out how to get on his knees. IDK who was more frustrated: him or us!
Jacob walked about 8 steps this morning -- that's his record at this point. We have to put something in both his hands and we can see his mental gears turning, considering whether he should drop onto his knees or pick up his feet. So cute!
He is getting in his second tooth. We dosed him with Tylenol pre-emptively before bed tonight. I'm wondering if they're all going to come in one by one -- at this rate, he'll be losing his baby teeth before he gets the last one in.
Xander currently has a miserable cold and has had a fever all weekend. The poor little guy is putting his fingers in both ears and grabbing at his throat. He hasn't really eaten anything today either. We are just trying to keep him comfy with motrin and tylenol. We even gave him a Popsicle to try to make him feel better.
Oh, he has learned to climb on our furniture now and is trying to climb on our tv stand, so now I freak out that the tv will fall on him. We are going to get one of those wires to secure it to the wall. One more great thing he does now is say yes or no to things, so figuring out what he wants is a whole lot easier.

This is exactly what Campbell has been doing too! Today, I don't know what made him go further - he had one thing in his hand and we tempted him with one of his new toys and he just did it. You could tell he wanted to drop but wanted to get the new thing.
Oh gosh Dana, that sounds absolutely heartbreaking! I hope he feels better soon.
And very scary that he's climbing now - good thinking on getting that wire thing.

I've never heard of one either! I guess it's something you don't learn about until you have a big adventurous boy like Mister Xander!

Jordan just schooled Scott and I in a game of Risk. He's eight.
Yay for mobile babies! They're so cute. I love watching them learn and think. It's adorable when they are determined to figure things out.
Welcome to the dark side
Dunc is getting over his 6th ear infection and sinus infection... we have an appointment this Friday with a pediatrict ENT to talk tubes. He's also cutting his two top teeth! The left is just started popping through, and the right has a huge bulge. He is chewing on everything insight and is CRANKY with a capital C! He's still "cruzing" on furniture and crawling like a maniac. Puck is really getting a run for his money--Dunc actually caught up with him today. It's hard to believe he's going to be 10 months in 11 days!!!
G just had his 2 mo shots. :-( He did alright-definitely wasnt a fan, but didnt cry more than a few mins. He is currently napping now.
We take our first road trip to NY with him Thursday night. I hope he sleeps most of the way.
Avery is crawling & pulling up. She has 2 bottom teeth and is wanting to walk bad but she just can't get the step one two step part down. We just had to move her to a convertable carseat bc she's too long for her infant carrier now
She's only 16lbs but 18" long! I miss my cuddly baby who slept in my neck/chest for hours.
I am enjoying all of the noises/babble she makes. Its adorable to wake up to that in the am. She's finally got the hang of STTN
