Do you read into your dreams?

I always remembered my dreams pretty well, but I never really read into what's in them, because they usually were influenced by what happened at work.  Recently though, I have had a recurring episode in my dreams, to the point where it is really scary.

This guy at work got divorced in December after only two years of being married.  He is nice to work with, but seems really cocky and arrogant in private. He is good looking, but totally not my type either. Yet, in a few of my past dreams I was making out with him, while still being married to my DH. Last night actually, I was also preggers in my dream, and making out with this guy!!

Like I said, I think this dream has been influenced by the fact that we have worked on a few projects recently. I am not reading into it, because I know there is nothing here (other than pregnancy) but this dream makes it weird for me to work with him. And why am I making out with him in the dreams?  And then there is a question of the pregnancy... I do want to get pregnant around this time next year.  Why am I having the dreams now?

Do you have weird dreams about people you know that make you wonder why you dream this or that?

Re: Do you read into your dreams?

  • I've had a couple dreams where I was making out with a coworker. I think it's just because we started working together on a lot more things and I've gotten to know him better. I don't remember the specifics of the dream (like whether I was married or he was with his GF), but yeah. Weird.
  • Possibly it's quite normal.  I too have had dreams about making out with a co-worker.  We didn't get on At All at work.  Totally glad he left.

  • I never read into my dreams because half the time I dream about the stupidest sh!t.

I've dreamed of being conflicted between loving DH and my ex-bf a few times.  Sometimes I'm with DH and other times I'm with the ex-bf.  I don't read into it because my ex-bf ended up being a turd, so there's no unrequited feelings or anything.  I just chalk it up to maybe seeing something on FB that reminded me of my ex and I subsequently dream about him.  No biggie.
