I have a question that I'm wondering if she might know the answer to relating to the candidates tax plans. Maybe someone else knows if she's not around.
I'm trying to figure out if Obama plans to leave some of the Bush tax cuts in place. Someone on E '08 says he intends to reverse the cuts only for those over $250K income. Does anyone know?
Re: Is Caden here?
I'm here!
Obama says he'll only reverse the tax cuts for "the wealthy" but no one believes that. Especially since his idea of what's wealthy has gone from $1Million + to $250K to $200K and now Biden put it at $150K. By the time he gets around to implementing it he'll be back at $42K and we can all say "I told you so!"
(check your PM by the way)
You know how people always say conservatives always have these pipe dreams that they'll be in those brackets some day? Well, I figured I'd be making 5 figures working in fashion and was totally cool with that. I'd rather enjoy my job and have a life than bust my hump at a job I couldn't take or leave for 6+ figures. However, when I talked to my professor about the specific career I think I want to pursue (Planning - involves spreadsheets and research stuff), I was informed (without asking) that the money is quite good - they make upwards of $200k. Combine that with the $400k (or so) DH is expected to make as an orthopaedic surgeon, and suddenly it doesn' t seem like such a pipe dream after all....
Of course, it will be at least another 7-10 years before we're making those amounts, but there ya go.
haha, yeah, but Caden after taxes we won't be making any more than you.
Yay, socialism!
