this summer. MIL said today that she and FIL had booked a cruise before he passed away last week. She still wants to go with her children (and me). So we'll be going on a New England (NYC, Boston, Rhode Island, Maine) and Maritime Canada (Nova Scotia and New Brunswick) cruise. I am excited since I've never been to Boston and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick were places my mom and I wanted to go when we went to PEI. This is the one we'll be going on:

Oh, that sounds fun! I loved Boston when I went as a kid. So much historical stuff. And I've never been to Maine or Nova Scotia, but people rave about them and that rocky coastline. Jealous...

Probably not. L.M. Montgomery went to university in Halifax, Nova Scotia (the capital) and that's where we'll dock when we're there. But the shore excursions offered are other things (Victorian gardens, Peggy's Cove lighthouse, Titanic museum). That's okay because my mom and I are going to take another trip to Ontario and PEI in a couple of years.

We went to PEI and Ontario in 2009, too. I have pics in link in siggy. Actually looking at it more closely it's possible that if we take the excursion to visit the public gradens of Halifax we'll see Dalhousie University. They're close together. It's a pretty, old campus:
