Hello favorite-ladies!
I tried posting this on the D&R board, but didn't get much response... so I'm coming to you, because I know you're dying to respond to my post
I have a wetbar that adjoins to my living room (medium-tone wood paneling, brown and teal decor) and dining room (still in the idea phase right now, but will have some dark blue-green upholstery and also medium-toned wood furnishings).
The wetbar has a lower cabinet and then DH is going to build some wooden open shelving above it that will hold alcohol and glassware in a decorative way - picture little cubbies to hold different kinds of alcohol and glasses. I'd like to paint the cabinets and shelving to match.
The countertops of the lower cabinet and the two bar openings are a mottled-tan formica. It's not in the budget to replace them right now, so my paint needs to coordinate, but it's a very neutral surface.
I also want to paint the walls in the bar. I'm open to a lot of things - I'm normally kind of traditional, but this is a small space so I can be funky with it. It's small, so I can't go too dark - that's about the only limitation I can see.
Sooo... whatcha got for me?
(I'm sorry, but I don't really have any pictures I can post to help - but since I'm basically redoing the whole thing I don't think they'd help much anyway.)
Re: Help me choose some paint colors :)
You could always do a khaki color, or if your looking for something a little bolder you could do a more neutral orange (in other words not neon), plum purple, olive green, golden yellow - you've got lots of options if your re-doing everything

I'm currently obsessed with wanting a red and teal kitchen, so my recommendation is red. Especially if it's a small area...
