Hey ladies, have any of your rented anything in RI, the Cape or Nantucket for a week in the summer? A 2 or 3 bedroom, on the ocean/beach. Nothing fancy. Wanted to look into it. Thanks!
Re: Beach house rental.
We rent every summer in Sandwich on the Cape. We stay in the Town Neck Beach area, which doesn't have the nicest beaches on the cape but it is very family friendly, very affordable, the beaches are not crowded and the neighborhood is great for walking/bike riding, etc. My WHOLE family (cousins, 2nd cousins, etc) all rent in the same week so we get 3 or 4 houses in the neighborhood and can all walk to each others houses, meet up at the beach every day.
We've rented this house a few times and loved it, short path to the beach, nice open floor plan
We've rented twice in Narragansett and will never do it again. Its sooo expensive to get a nice place plus you have to bring everything with you and buy all your food and liquor and make everything and there is a chance of rain always. By the time the week is done the money we spent, we could have went away to a tropical island twice over nevermind 45 minutes from my house.....
can you tell I'm bitter, haha
we rented in newport one summer. i think for a one bedroom a block from the beach we pent about $800 per week to rent.
we were going to rent in Narragansett this summer for a couple of weeks. most places 2-3 brm near the beach looked like $1000-$1800 for a week... and lots of places were already reserved in july/aug. we were going to contact a realtor down there, but i dont think we are going to do it this summer. my family decided to go to south carolina after all , and there wont be much time to enjoy a beach house when new baby is due aug 4th!
but if you decide to do it i think we should have a gtg (party at erins beach house wooohooo! ; ).
we rented a beach house in charlestown, in one of the private beach areas (quonnie), we had a ton of fun!
