My cat pooped on my bed

Seth just called and said their is a pile of poo in the middle of our bed. Apparently the cellar is so flooded that the kitties can't get to the litterbox.

I had to walk Seth through installing a sump pump over the phone. Hopefully he didn't get electrocuted.

  • Oh, come on kitties! That is beyond not awesome. Good thing Seth has a gal like you around to talk him through home disaster remidies!

  • Ewwww. That is gross. Poor kitty just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it ;)

  • We have a cat who enjoys doing lovely things like that.  He has done it several times on Ben's bed, so now Ben goes around saying "kitty don't poop on my big bed!" as he points and yells accusingly at the cat.

  • I often say mean things about my cat but the one thing I give him credit for is he never let the flooded basement in my old house stop him from using the litter box.  He would track wet kitty litter prints all over the house afterwards, but at least it wasn't poop.

On the other hand, last week my cat threw up on my bed and it soaked through the duvet into the down comforter so I had to make an emergency shopping trip at 7pm to buy a new comforter (so as to not have to sleep under cat puke).

Yeah, my cat is still a pain in the butt.

  • I first read this as "my cat pooped on my HEAD", so I guess things could be worse...?

    LOL!

That sucks about the bed poop and the flooded basement! But I am glad the poop was not on your head :)

  • I was thinking that at least the cat was considerate enough to not poop on your pillow!

And I love that you had to tell your husband how to install a sump pump! That is some hard core bad-associty!

  • Several things about this post and the resulting thread are awesome.

    1. "I hope he (Seth) didn't get electrocuted."

    2. Trouble poops in the house.  We take him out, stand out there for 20 minutes, and the second we come back in, he poops on the floor.  Ridley also says things like "Trouble poop in my house" to anyone who will listen.

    3.  The fact that you are able to walk someone through the installation of a sump pump over the phone.  I couldn't do this with the instructions in front of me!

  • I'm not sure what is worse, poop or urine.  Sphynx has peed on our bed a couple times, and more often than not on clean and/or dirty laundry.  She does it because she gets mad at us, and it was at it's worse when Taylor was first born and we had Buddy.  We have installed hook/eye latches on the closet doors and keep the laundry in the closet.  We also close off the guest room and bedroom doors so she is forced to be social.  It's the only way she is going to stay in this house and I can keep my sanity :) Hence part of the reason we call her sh!tty kitty

This is what I read too!

Sorry about the flooded basement, I can relate, every spring we get nearly 4 feet of water in our basement, we even got about 3 1/2 feet this past december with all of the rain we had.  I hope the sump pump works well for you

And I'm sorry your cat decided that your bed was the proper place to do his business!  At least our cats if they go outside the litter box, they go on the bathroom floor (At least it's closer than the bed :O)
