Vent
ladies...i need to vent, big time.
i have spent the last month or two working to get my condo into ready-to-list shape. we have a TON of projects that were unfinished and a TON of stuff at this place that needed to be put in storage. it took lots of weekends, but we finished yesterday. H's dad came into town and helped us with the last 2 days of cleaning and moving all sorts of boxes over to my dad's house. it was awesome...he was a huge help. my dad had plans on sunday and wasn't available...fine, whatever. he's entitled to that. there was some confusion about a picture that i needed from our storage garage that he has the key to and we didn't end up getting it. i was more upset than i needed to be and i had to apologize to him bc i sorta jumped all over him about it. over and done.
he just stopped over at the condo and i was so excited to show him our place. here are his comments:
"you really need some color in here" - after seeing the dining room/wall where the aforementioned picture was supposed to go
"you need to clean your front door"
"oh, i see Brad left the trash out front...that will need taken care of" - we have to drive our trash over to the dumpster everyday
"you tell Brad he needs to clean this mirror EVERY day" - in our bathroom
"i think you should move this mirror and the one in the dining room"
seriously, i'm just about on the verge of tears. my dad is very honest and i'm used to it. if Brad had been here he probably would have flipped out. even this though hurt my feelings. i told him, but it falls on deaf ears. he saw i was irritated and left. now he just wants to know when we are coming over to re-organize his basement where our stuff sits now. i get it...we promised to do it. but seirously!? we JUST worked our asssses off to get this here, give me a break!
anyway...thats all. just upset. thanks for listening.

This is exactly what I thought when I read it.
I'm sure the house looks great! Sucks that he didn't tell you so! (In fact...aren't you the one that put up the picture of a bedroom the other day...If I'm remembering correctly it looks way better than 90% of the houses we put on the market! Maybe even 95%...and I'm being serious!).
