an absorbant bath rug?

my daughter is a big time splasher and not quite at the age where i can get her to stop yet

i've been using towels on the floor to sop up the water, but i'm getting tired of washing those floor towels so often.

i'm not putting up shower doors or anything, we rent. i can't close the shower curtain on her cuz she'll just open it right up...

any ideas?

Re: an absorbant bath rug?

  • I had a MicroDry for a little while and while it did wonders at absorbing water, I just about broke my neck one day when I was getting out of the shower because it slipped out from under me.  Instead of breaking my neck, I wound up with a sprained ankle.  Maybe you could find something similar to Microdry but isn't.
  • OMG!!  I have the super absorbant MICRODRY microfiber bath mats from Bed, Bath and Beyond.  They are a bit pricey but totally worth it..And they are cushy on the feet too.  My DH generally doesn't like this kind of stuff, but immediately fell in love with the mats.  They don't come in very many colors, but they definitely have the basics.  They are also machine washable, and come out of the machine looking fine, although, I don't suggest you stick it in the dryer.  Do yourself a favor, and get one because it will be the best thing you have ever bought for the bathtub splashing.  My three kids when they take a bath, splash, and this sucker sucks it all up.  They also love the feel on their feet too.  Sometimes, they just go into the bathroom to step on the mat with their bare feet before they get shooed out.  GL!
  • i agree with pp.  my only complaint is it takes a bit to dry after my hubby's shower.  i swear that man must get out of shower soaking wet and drip dry standing on the mat.  i try to get in the shower before him.

hope you get a $5 off coupon for bbb
