A little trivial levity

A lot of us are going through some tough stuff right now, so I will bring us something that makes no difference whatsoever in the course of the world.

What kind of cookies should I make for my crew on Saturday?

Currently, my front runners are

Perfect Party Cookies from Stephanie Cooks

 or

Jumbo Hot Chocolate Cookies from a random blog I've never read before

I'm totally intrigued by the party cookies, but I feel like I shouldn't blog them if I make them, because they are an original and Stephanie worked really hard on them.  I know, that logic probably doesn't make much sense to anyone but me.

My mind is spinning about the hot chocolate cookies.  The original post mentions something about using the hot cocoa mix that has marshmallows in it, which makes me think I want to melt a marshmallow on the top of each cookie (omg, so good), and add white chocolate chips.

Which do you think I should make?

Re: A little trivial levity

  • I didn't even look at the links because all I can think about it marshmallow melted on cookies. Yes please.

(PS...my high school classmate named her daughter Levity...random fact of the day.)

  • I was all for the cookie with sprinkles in it.

But then you said melted marshmallow and cookie in the same sentence, and the sweetaholic in me died a little. You should make those. Now.

  • I think that the party cookies being an original is reason to blog them, with obvious proper credit, of course. I know I'd be proud if I invented a recipe and someone blogged about how much they liked it, linking back to my original post.

    On the other hand, mmmmmmm...marshmallow.

  • Jumbo Hot Chocolate Cookie w/marshmallows. It sounds like a cookie s'more, yum!
  • Is both an option?  :)

I vote hot chocolate because chocolate w/marshmallow topping ice cream is my favorite and those cookies sound similar.  I'll be sure to send you my address in case you need someone to "test" them first.  Just saying...

  • Hot chocolate cookies it is.

I actually make these smores cookies that have marshmallow melted on top, which is where I got the idea to add them to these cookies.  The smores ones are super popular when I take them places.

  • Late, but fwiw, I would have voted for the hot chocolate cookies ;)

  • Late on this also,

but my vote is both. You can do it. I know you can.
