On Saturday, we picked up our new pooch, Jack. He's a 15-month old Chinese crested, and he's a freaking maniac. He's what they call a "hairy-hairless," which means he has hair everywhere but his underbelly.
He won't sit still long enough to get a
decent picture, and our camera sucks. But this is Jack, completely confused by the camera in my hand.

And here he is engaged in his favorite activity, running up and down the hallway 300 times a minute. (This one was taken at 6 am on Sunday.)

And one more for good measure, his "I'm an intrigued show dog" pose

The pictures really don't do him justice; he is ridiculously cute. And
infinitely less mangy currently. We have a lot of work to do with him- before Saturday, he'd only left his breeder's house once. So we have to train him to walk on a leash, use the stairs, go to the bathroom while on a leash, etc. It's like having a puppy. He also has this really shrieky bark that makes it sound like he's being murdered in his crate, so he's gotten us up really early in the morning the past two days. That will be the first thing we break him of.

Oh goodness Erika! The first pic made me smile and the others made me giggle. I'm honestly normally not a fan of Cresteds, but he is stinking adorable! Congrats!

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermMy husband wanted to change his name. He initially thought "Shaq," since it sounds similar, but I vetoed it. He really wanted to give him some brute name, since Jack is such a little dog. But Jack suites him well. He's been with us less than 48 hours, and we already have about 20 nicknames for the poor thing. Jack-zilla is the go-to, but he's also Jack Bauer, Jackers, Jack Attack, and Jackasaurus rex.
(His pedigree name is Talisman's My Heart Will Go On, which I neglected to mention to my husband. I'm not sure how he'd feel having a dog named after Titanic...)
