Power is out at work...it's freaky.
I work in a really old warehouse turned partly into offices and all the power is off except for our emergency computer back-up power. We have no windows in here either. Someone has already jumped me once. Help!

Creepy! Is escaping an option?
Once, the power went out at my office and instead of making the logical choice and dismissing us they had us sit in a circle and talk about insurance. I'm not even kidding.
Wow- that sounds like the worst team bonding exersize ever!
I'm with PPs that you should bail- large, undefined spaces in darkness and I do not mix well, I probably would have scared myself stupid by this point if I were there!

This sounds like an episode of The Office!
I know, right? It probably would have been pretty funny if my boss was anything like Michael Scott, but he's a lot angrier, so it was just disconcerting!
This!! We must not work in the right part of town Andrea! hahaha
They didn't let us leave for another 1/2 hour haha ridiculous! My computer shut off about a minute after I posted so we were just sitting in our offices with our cell phones as light. At least we didn't have to sit in a circle and talking about flooring!(That's what my company sells)
Actually at first our employee entrance door was locked and not allowing people to get out(you can only get in by using a badge) we all thought that was a really bad idea considering if there was an emergency, like a fire, we'd be screwed! (There was another exit but at the other end of the building!)
that is scary!
