AW: Got the job!
I got a call today with an offer for the internal finance job I applied for before I went out on maternity leave. I was a little nervous they wouldnt give it to me since I couldnt finish the interveiw process but no worries. Evidently they interviewed 3 internal candidates including me and 2 external from a pool of about 120 resumes.
I'm now on leave until the Monday after Easter - although I'm going to go in for a couple days a week for the couple weeks prior to that to move my office and get set up and up to speed.
So on top of not having to work for my current boss anymore -- definitely the best part -- I also get a 10% raise, 5% effective immediately (to get them around a 5% wage increase cap for 2011) and then 5% when I go back to work! Now that I'm good on employment again, we can start the house hunting process and get our place listed. So excited!
