Here's a phrase you never want to hear come out of your MIL's mouth:
"Which sink would you prefer I rinse out my sweaty underwear in?"
So glad you came to visit this weekend. And made me feel your sweaty back upon careening through the door. And hung your freshly washed underpants on my radiator to dry (what adult doesn't travel w/ clean underpants?!). And washed down your pain pills with a bottle of wine. And smoked cigs on my porch in your pjs while swilling said wine. And no, of course I didn't mind you racking up $225 worth of purchases at the on base liquor store (which I had to put on my card). At least you wrote me a check to cover the $400 you spent overall- hope it doesn't bounce...

Do not pass Go, do not collect $200-- just get thee to the bank and cash that check asap!
And then use the cash to buy some Lysol spray.
Am I the only one who finds Mollie's MIL stories to be the highlight of my week?
I am sorry you have to deal with this, but in my own selfish way, I really look forward to hearing about these visits!
THIS!
Thank you for making me laugh today.
Glad I could make you laugh! Honestly, if I didn't laugh at these situations myself, I would probably cry. As a reward for being such a patient and sane daughter-in-law, I bought myself a pair of Gucci sunglasses @ the Exchange while she was on her spending spree, and I made sure to put them on our joint credit card. Clearly Kyle would want me to have a present for being so good to his Mom.
I decided against telling her that I was coming up to Maine this weekend to retrive my e-ring from the jeweler- I think two rediculous encounters are more than enough in a month!

Of course he would want that for you!
Good call on not telling MIL about your upcoming trip. She sounds like the type who is best handled in small doses!!
Me three.
Although, her antics are so off-the-wall that you really can't do anything but laugh.
Me too!!! Ahhh, MIL's, yours is a BEAUT!!!!!!
^^All of the above!
and eew.
