Ways to Screw With Your Kids on St. Patrick's Day
Hi all - what are some ways to freak my kids out in thinking that a leprechaun was in the house? Mwahahaha!!! Green toilet water I know, and green bagels. Anything else?
Re: Ways to Screw With Your Kids on St. Patrick's Day
When I was young we used to "dig for leprechauns". It was seriously my favorite holiday!! We'd set our shovels out the night before and at the crack of dawn we'd go out to the edge of the yard/woods and dig for leprechauns. If you caught one you'd get a pot of gold, but if you didn't catch any then they would play tricks on you all day, like tie your shoes together, hide your toys, etc.
I honestly thought that every Irish kid did this on st. patty's day, it wasn' until I was in college and my friends laughed at me when I told them the story that my mom told me that my dad just made it up one year for fun. But I am totally doing it with my kids!!
