Bacon Wrapped Dates

They are so very easy to make!

You need: dates (pitted are easier, otherwise you need to pit them yourself), any kind of bacon, almonds if you like.

1) Preheat the oven to 450.

2)Cut the strips of bacon in half and cook them about halfway, they should still be a little floppy though.  I usually nuke them for about 3 minutes.

3) Stuff one whole almond inside the date.  I use roasted, unsalted.

4) Wrap one piece of bacon around one date and secure with a toothpick.  Arrange the dates on a cookie sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes.  Flip them over and put them back in the oven for another 5-7 minutes.  When the bacon is fully cooked on all sides they are done!
