To cut my hair or not to cut my hair, that is obviously the question?
So ladies, I'm thinking this old married women needs a new do. I dont know if you have seen Jennifer Aniston's new short, bob. Its adorable, not too short and not super angled in the front. My hair is past my shoulders and pretty long. I had a very bad experience once, cutting my hair from long to short, it has kind of freaked me out about the experience.
What do you think ladies, here is the picture.

I love her new hair. Unfortunately I don't know how it would look on you! haha
Have you asked your hairdresser?
Honestly I don't see the big deal about her new hair. I don't think it looks all that different from her old hair and is kind of boring. I do like Jennifer Aniston, but to me that's just a long bob--yawn.
I'm no help to you because I love going for a big change every couple of years and repeatedly grow out and then chop off my hair. I just donated somewhere between 8-10" a few months ago. My hair grows fast though so that minimizes the fear factor a little.
You really don't sound like you're into going for a big chop, so why not just go for more layers around the face or something?
Her new haircut is cute, but I don't think it's all that different from her old one. Though it does seem to hang in her face less than it used to, which drove me batty.
You could always add long layers in your hair, and just trim it a couple of inches. It's a lot easier to cut more off later than it is to grow it back out. And my hair was just above shoulder length when I got married, and I had an updo, so it's definitely possible with not-super-long-hair.
My mom had shorter than neck-length hair at my wedding and requested an updo. I thought she was nuts--there was nothing to really put up. But somehow my awesome hair person managed to give her a French twist. It was awesome.
Oh noes.
lol.
I like the new bob on JA, but it's just a bob. Cut it off for summer if you like! Every time I cut my hair I regret it about 10 minutes after leaving the salon.
Haha, don't worry, I'm not going to! But it would be nice to never have to touch my hair.
