need EI recommendation...
We were referred to EI for Dom by the Speech/Language dept at Rhode Island Hospital. I'm pretty emotional about this, so I'll keep this post short!
I have a few different facilities to contact, 2 being the Trudeau Center, and Meeting Street. Does anyone have any experience with either of these 2 places? Looking for suggestions on where to call...

I have a friend who swears by the groups at meeting street. Her son also needed EI for speech and other issues and he improved so rapidly it was shocking.
First of all, so sorry that you are going through this! *hugs*
Secondly, I can not say enough about Meeting Street! I've had clients in the past use them, and the results that I saw first hand (in s short amount of time) were amazing!

I work with tons of families who couldn't say enough great things about Meeting Street and their EI services. I don't know anything about the Trudeau Center. Good luck with everything, I am sure they will work wonders.

First - HUGS. This is what EI is for - to catch it, fix it, and make him even more perfect than he already is ;-)
Second - I have a friend whose son has been in EI at Meeting Street for physical issues and is doing GREAT! It actually even sounds like they may have caught very, very early OCD issues in him and beginning treatment now will be awesome for him. So I can second-handedly recommend Meeting Street for sure!

DD has services through Trudeau for speech. I was not given the option of going to Meeting Street, so I am not sure of any of those services personally. The SPL pathologist came to our house for the summer and then DD was at teh age when she had to go to the local elementary school, where she still goes 1x a week. The person who came to my house was ok, i think she took advantage of teh fact that she lived near me/she knew some same people as my husband and cancelled a couple times and never made them up. one time i had to call teh center to find out if she was coming b/c she was so late, then not coming. i think this was all to her, not the center as a whole. I then found out that teh school speech teacher and one who came to my house had different views on how to teach my daughter...so i was confused. whowas right. this could happen anywhere and with anyone.
