QOTD-Tuesday

Do you or are you planning on going to church on Easter? Maybe you are a regular attendee, but you don't go because it will be crowded. Maybe you don't go, but you feel obligated to go because it is Easter.

Re: QOTD-Tuesday

  • I don't ever go to church, so no. It's pretty funny though that this is the QOTD, we just had a huge discussion around the cubicles this morning regarding Catholicism.

  • No and no.  DH and I will be in Ireland without DS during the Easter season this year...oops.  Not that we would be going to church if we were here, but we were looking forward to coloring eggs/egg hunt with him this year.  We'll do it on a non-Easter day after we come back instead.
  • We haven't really found a church here that we like. We used to attend church semi-regularly in Maryland. We might try to find a Methodist church for Easter.
    Visit The Nest!
  •  There's a good chance we'll be visiting one set of parents or the other, so we'll probably go with them.

I was in Paris for Easter one year. The only difference it made was there was absolutely no way we were getting inside Notre Dame the line was so long!

  • We don't attend church, so no. However, my family does all get together and have an Easter dinner. My dad also still hides Easter eggs, and my sisters and I practically kill each other trying to find them. Good times.

I'm already reading about a lot of things/places being closed Good Friday, etc.  We couldn't have picked a more Catholic country. heh

  • Yes, we had been going to church regularly, but aren't crazy about the church, so we're planning to start 'shopping' again when JJ stops working Sunday mornings. We'll definitely go to our current church on Easter, if we can't find another we like before then. I'm hoping we'll get to visit Mandarin Lutheran soon, I might even go without him Sunday if he's working... just hate going alone.

Yeah, my mom & step dad were in Rome on their honeymoon one year. Holy chaos at the vatican.

  • We will most likely go. We do belong to a church, but I haven't been feeling well lately, so I haven't gone in a few weeks. As long as I don't feel sick, we will go.

  • No, we won't be going to church for Easter. But we are doing an easter-themed newborn photo session once the little gal is here!

  • Yes, we'll be going. We just had a discussion about starting again, since the weather's getting better, Jonathan isn't sick any more, and it should be relatively safe for him in the nursery. We missed last year because of family events, so I'm ready to do the US Easter thing for the first time with the boys!

  • No, we don't go to church for holidays or otherwise. I probably haven't been in a church in six or seven years (except for a wedding here and there).
  • I go to church regularly but will be in PA visiting my gandmother for Easter. She doesn't go to church so I doubt I will go.

  • I haven't been to church in close to a year. I like the church, but when it comes to holidays they seem to make sure that they stray away from it. As if it is wrong to do traditional songs on Christmas or honor Mothers on Mother's Day. So Easter, I am not sure. It will be packed because people feel obligated to go. I may start back attending and just skip out on church. Maybe color some eggs for Trevor.

  • I just realized that I'll be working on Easter. That sucks. If I wasn't working I probably wouldn't go to church. I like church but don't attend regularly anymore. H has no desire to go to church.

  • I don't know. I'm sure my parents will put an incredible amount of pressure on us to go, especially since it's the day after my birthday and my brother will probably be up. Last year it seems like they were having a series on porn or something so we didn't go, and that evening was when I told everyone I was pregnant. I just don't look forward to a large crowd with a baby. We took him out to dinner last night with the family and it was a disaster.
  • We don't go regularly. MIL will try to guilt us into going. If we end up going it will be with my dad.
  • No, we don't go to church any other time, so we won't go on Easter.  I have gone with my sister, if I happened to be visiting them over a holiday...
  • Yes I go regularly and yes I will be there Easter.

  • We go regularly (sing in the choir and teach Sunday School even. I'm basically a churchy June Cleaver at this point), so we'll be there on Easter. Although I need to start shopping, because, as any good baptist girl knows, Easter is the Baptist Fashion Week.
