strange coincidences

I am supposed to be getting ready, but thought I'd pop on here instead and while listening to the TV Robin Williams came on. we knew he had a cow valve put in, like my dad, and that his b-day is the day between my dad's and mine. he also just said on TV that he had a repair done, weird. Another weird coincidence was on teh apprentice, Star Jones won the first night, playing for American Heart Association, who I asked my mom to put in the obituary for donations. she won $170,000 for them. There were some other strange ones too, but I won't go one and on. :-)

This has been such a strange time. I still don't feel as though it is real. I sometimes feel like my dad will just show up eventually. Thank you all for your T&Ps. Knowing that so many people care is honestly something that gets me through some of the really hard moments.

I know what you mean. This year is the 20th anniversary for my dad, and sometimes I still feel like he should be walking into the room at any minute. I always try to look at those strange coincidences in a positive light, that he's still there watching out for me and my family. I hope you're able to find peace and cherish your memories with him. He lives on in you. (((HUG)))

you will find that things like that happen. For me at the time we were living in CT and trying to sell our condo for over a year with not much activity at all. Well i put my dads house on the market for two months and then talked it over with DH and we figured out we could afford to have two houses since he needed to move to RI for his job. I went to the lawyers office to inform them i would be buying the house from the estate and we we walking out of the office and got a call from our realtor that we had a showing that weekend and the couple bought our condo the same day and wanted a quick closing. So apparently my dad wanted me in his house i feel.

I definitely believe in signs like that - that someone who's passed on it trying to reach out and let me know that s/he is still with me.

things like that are so bittersweet. i was in london when my grandfather died and ordered by my grandmother not to cut the trip short (even in her 80s, what gram says goes). two days later, went to the tate modern and in the windows of the museum shop were spirograph-like designs. my grandfather gave me a spirograph set when i was a little girl so seeing that at that time was so special to me.

again, i am so, so sorry for your loss. i hope each day gets a tiny bit better for you.
