Ron and I were just talking about this yesterday.
I can't wait for backyard pool parties, shrimp that we grill on the propane grill and not some bogus George Forman grill, flip flops, homemade lemonade and margaritas, and driving with the windows down

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI look forward to summer because:
-- it's that much closer to fall (which is actually my favorite time of year)
-- family get-togethers such as Grandma's birthday/4th of July (pool party BBQ), Dad's birthday (end-of-summer fish fry), and random afternoons in the pool
-- convertible tops down and sunroofs open (and road trips with said cars)
-- I can stay up later because it stays light longer (I swear Brad wants to go to bed about 2 hours after sunset... no matter the time of year.)
-- the sunburns I always get... no matter how much sunblock I use!
-- car shows (local car club has a Thursday night cruise that we love to watch)
-- the local river festival
-- paid vacation (that I always use in summer)
Sadly, I don't really look forward to summer because summers in Houston are incredibly unbearable. I also very much prefer winter clothes (call me crazy, but I'd rather be in jeans and a turtleneck than in shorts and a tank top any day of the week!).
But here are some things I'm looking forward to (or do in a normal summer):
1) Meeting my son in June!
2) Being tan (I'm wearing short sleeves and cropped pants right now and it's kind of frightening how pale I am!)
3) Going to the lake (minus the getting in a swimsuit part!)
4) Baseball!!!
5) Starting this weekend, the fact that it will be light later so we can go on evening walks again!

It gets ridiculously hot here, as well. I MUCH prefer being all cozy than wearing shorts.
I'm so excited for you!! How is everything going, by the way? How you're feeling and with the nursery?
And I will have a pale contest with you any day of the week lol. I don't tan, I burn. No fun.
Haha! I don't know - I'm pretty bad this winter! The honeymoon glow definitely didn't stick around long at all!
Everything is going very well! Carter's furniture is in, so Chris picked it up yesterday. Even though it's still in boxes, I love that it's in our garage right now! We moved all of the guest room furniture up to my parents' attic this weekend, and Chris and my mom are supposedly going to paint this weekend! Once that's done, we can put the crib and dresser together, and put the bedding in his crib!!! I'm SO excited (if you can't tell - haha!)!
I'm hoping to be able to post pictures next week!
Thank you for asking
Megan & Chris
I could probably beat all of you in the paleness contest.
I am fluorescent, glow in the dark, white! I can't even get a tan in a tanning bed
I have just learned to accept my paleness.
My favorite things about summer:
Flip flops
Tank tops
Nature hikes with the puppy
No more dry skin from heaters
Opening my sunroof
This! My legs are like sandpaper.

Sorry - mine is (obviously) a girl.
He is beautiful! How old is he?
If you've never had a pit before, let me tell you just how much you're going to enjoy him! They are such an incredibly amazing breed! I cannot say enough great things about them!
Here's my love bug (because I'm overly eager to post things today, apparently!):

Papa's about a year and a half old. And I have never owned a Pit before, but I'm glad to hear you love the breed. It took me forever to convince DH that Pits weren't horrible killer dogs, out to steal his soul. Of course the instant we got our dog DH loooooved him, bc lets face it Papa's a big baby.

It'll be interesting to see Lola see all this for the first time - she was born in September, according to guesstimation by the woman that plucked her off the side of the road.
