Re: Girlscout Cookie Season Should Be

  • All I want are some damn lemon ones and do you know not one girl scout even tried to offer to me!  Normally they're at my grocery store outside but I never saw them.  Maybe that's a sign to stay away haha
  • I agree! I'm totally going to weigh 200 lbs. for my wedding because I can't eating them. I ordered 6 boxes from a teacher at school. When I picked them up, she told me that she hopes FI and I enjoy them....I was too embarrassed to tell her that they were ALL for me.
  • Oh ya! I have not seen one person selling cookies. Today I was at the grocery store and saw "coconut dreams"... Aka CARMEL DELIGHTS!!!! so psyched and so effin yummy.

No, I didn't know that!! I would much prefer them to be sold in the fall!

I also just found out the other day that they are named different things in different places.

  • we got ours saturday. yum.
  • Ugh. I agree. Stick out tongue Luckily, it looks like they have stopped selling them for the year in my area so I can get my butt into shape for my bathing suit! We're going on a family vacation in May and I don't want to be seen in my bathing suit at this point. I need to lose a few pounds before I feel even some what comfortable in a bathing suit. Indifferent Darn girl scouts! lol. They are SO YUMMY, though!!
  • The best part of being a girl scout was buying enough cookies to make my quota.. Then eating them all. I remember having a spreadsheet of like 20 different types of cookies.. Now the girls have a choice of the same typical ones: samoas (coconut), thin mints, lemonade thingys, do-si-dos (chocolate covered peanut butter), something sugar-free... and that's ALL I ever see anymore. WTF? I miss the sandwich cookies where 1/2 the box was lemon, and the other 1/2 was vanilla. And then there was a chocolate coated shortbread.. I just remember so many other varieties from when I was a kid.
  • A coworker was selling them for her BF's kid.  I didn't buy any because I wanted to be good, but since they all came in people have been leaving boxes in the kitchen here at work to share.  I have had more than a few tagalongs, thin mints, and samoas.
  • I haven't seen ANY girl scouts ANYwhere.  They used to hang out outside of grocery stores, but I haven't seen any.  :(
