I'm gonna be an AW for a minute...
and AW the AWESOME menu Mary and I came up with for my Foodbuzz 24x24 proposal. I need lots of vibes that it gets accepted, I really want to do this! It would be thrown for my co-workers, and the whole menu is criminally themed - prison, jail, court, etc.
The Green Mile in the Mile High - A criminally good time
App:
- "Three Strikes" Three Cheese Artichoke dip and "felony" fresh veggies
Main courses:
- Friendly's "Jailbird" Fried chicken - Chef Jeff Henderson's recipe he learned while incarcerated
- Lamb "shank" sliders
Sides:
- Ramen noodle coleslaw (Ramen always beats out what's in the chow hall!)
- "Orange Jumpsuit" fruit salad
- Spicy "Con" on the Cob
- "Dead Man Walking" Mashed potatoes (with white truffle - good enough for your last request!)
- "Bailed Out" biscuits
Desserts:
- "Prison Stripe" brownie trifle
- blondies "behind bars"
Drinks:
- "Cellblock tango" mango margarita
- the Birdman pinot grigio and the Slammer syrah (from Big House Winery)
- several beers, including: Modus Hoperandi IPA (with 3 gangsters on the front), The Kidd (as in, Billy the Kidd) black lager, State Pen Porter, and Dead Guy Ale
- "Lockdown" lemonade, a homemade strawberry lemonade.
Viola! I'm pretty sure this is the most creative menu I've ever come up with, so I need some good Niner vibes that I get accepted! I **REALLY** want to throw this party! I find out Friday, so fingers crossed!
