Nervous about Job interview
I decided on Monday to start looking for a job and I got a call today! Yeah, didn't expect it to happen so fast. I interview Friday. It's been 9 years since I've been on a job interview! AGH!
I don't even own a suit; I donated all of mine because it had been years since I'd worn one of them. Guess I'm going shopping tomorrow. I am a nervous wreck. Any tips or advise you can give me?
TIA

Google common interview questions and answers and be prepared with answers to questions.
Don't be afraid to say "I don't know" or ask for clarification
Take extra copies of your resume just in case
Research the company as much as you can
Have questions to ask the interviewers
At the beginning of the interview, get the person's business card or contact info so you can send TYs
At the end of the interview, ask about next steps and timing so you don't have to guess when you'll hear from them or post here asking if/when you should follow up

All the ladies gave great advice. It's important to be prepared for the nightmare questions. For example:
1) What is your greatest weakness?
2) Why should we hire you?
Best of luck with the interview!
I'm interviewing for jobs right now and when they ask you the dreaded "what would you say is a weakness of your's?" Make sure that you take something and put a positive spin on it. For example: If you only have a little bit of experience in one of the job responsibilities say "Well, I have experience in writing PR (for example), but I would like to work on my skills more so that I feel more comfortable with it. I feel confident that I can write any kind of PR, but I'm excited for the opportunity to learn more and hone my skills so that I can feel even more confident in my writing."
Then it isn't as scary of a question.
Good luck in your interview!
