Last night, Eric and I ordered tickets to our very first opera! We're going to see Wozzeck at the Metropolitan Opera. It's a Wednesday night, so I'll have to bring a gown and jewelry to my office to get changed and go straight from here. It's a short one at 1 hour, 40 minutes, but it's supposed to be really intense.

You'll totally have to tell us how it goes - I've been trying to convince Joe for ages that we should go to an opera, but he always makes this "No way in Hades" face when I mention it. Sigh.

Sweet. I can never make up my mind if I'd want to go to one or not. Tell us how it was... The 1hr 40 minute part sounds like a good starter opera though.

Besides, we have to make a trip to like Vancouver or something to do it.

That sounds entirely wonderful!! I love opera, but have never been to one live and doubt I know anyone willing to go with me. Have a great time!

E was talking about getting opera glasses. We're in a box, so they'll make sense. Sad thing is, when I was a kid I had real antique ones and now have no idea where they are.
