So, we just had our dog "fixed" and she had an accident on our living room rug. I've cleaned the rug with carpet cleaner but the pee went all the way through and the backer on the rug is wet. I've tried propping the rug up and letting it air dry and I've tried using a fan/hair dryer to dry it. I don't know what else to do and I'm afraid it's either going to mold or ruin our beautiful hardwood! Any suggestions?
Re: Dog Pee
Since you say you have tried propping up the rug, I assume it's an area rug... is that correct? If so, can you hang it outside or in the bathroom to finish drying?
Also, make sure you use an enzyme cleaner (Nature's Miracle is a good one) on the spot. If your dog can smell any trace of it, she may think it's an acceptable place to continue to go. Regular carpet cleaners won't remove the smell to an animal's nose... only an enzyme cleaner can do that.

Agree about the Nature's Miracle and fan.
We had this same problem a single time after our dog's surgery. It was several months after experiencing any potty training issues. Hopefully this will be your only clean up!
