Need some creative ideas

Here is my dilemma:

If I don't have snacks at work, I go looking for candy some time in the afternoon.

If I keep boxes of snacks at home and bring them one at a time to work, DH will eat them even if I tell him they are only for me.

If I keep the boxes of snacks at work, I will overeat. Even though they are all healthy snacks, 50 calories here and 100 calories there adds up.

Options: Hiding the snacks at home, putting them out of arm's reach in my office, keeping them in my car, getting over myself and having some gosh darn self control.

WDYT?

  • I vote car, too. I lose crap in there really easy, and I always forget I put stuff in there. I'm less likely to want to walk to my car to get a snack if I know I have to put effort into it. I'm just lazy. :P

  • I was thinking "car" even before I read your options. I would keep the stockpile in the car, then bring one in to the office with me each morning (or two if I'm in a morning and afternoon snack phase).

  • honestly, having to keep them in my car would piss me off. would a here are your snacks, here are mine work for you and dh? two separate areas? if not, i'd hide them from him at home...

Being totally honest with myself, another couple reasons I don't want to keep them at home is a) so I don't eat them at home and b) I freaking hate packing a lunch, including snacks. I'd rather just grab a Smart Ones and that's it. If I had a big enough freezer compartment, I'd keep all those at work, too.
