Hey all!  The WHAM posting was talking about weight loss a lot so I thought I'd just make a new posting.

    Total weight loss so far? 6.6 (gained one week Sad and have splurged a little)

    How long on diet? 6 weeks, so about 1.1 lbs a week lost

    Day you weigh in? Weds. morning

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet?  Fav recipe would have to be my mac n chz.  Fav foods would be laughing cow light cheese wedges.  They are only 1 point and I LOVE cheese, so it's a nice snack.

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.?  been trying to take doggie for a walk every night after work, but damn snow is causing problems.  so i do what i can, when i can.

  • i LOVE the laughin cow cheese...i got from sams club a 3 pack from only like $7 of the tomato basil somethin somethin...sooooo yummy!  i'm finally down to my last pack and we're going to sams tonight so im going to try a different kind.

     

    Diet plan? no specific plan, just tyring to watch what i eat

    Total weight loss so far? i haven't weighed myself in about 10 days...but the last time i'd lost right around 8ibs

    How long on diet? about 7 weeks

    Day you weigh in? i try to do it either on sat or sun

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet? i agree, the ww mac n cheese is killer!

     Exercise routine/activity/etc.?  doesn't exist which is why im not losing more

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? ---training for 5K, so running about 3.5 miles 3 or 4 days a week.

    How long on diet? since the first of the year...i gave up for a month though.

    Day you weigh in? Sundays I usually weigh the best dunno why

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet? I've been on a celery kick lately, lucky me!

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? I try to get to the gym 3 days a week for an hour of cardio.

  • Diet plan?  my own.  just watching what I eat and portion control.  cutting out alot of snacks and unnecessary calories.

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet?  I don't really have a "diet" food since I know I won't do well if I feel like I'm deprived of anything.  Instead I'm eating what I normally eat, just less of it.  I'm a generally pretty healthy eater but I'm eliminating things like a bag of chips with my sandwitch at lunch, no snacks before dinner once I get home from work (totally guilty of that) and no food at all after 8PM since your body doesn't have time to burn all the calories you consume after that hour.

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? right now I'm doing crunches, push-ups, and weight training and toning excercises.  H and I bought a treadmill which is being delivered this Saturday so I will start using that for 1/2 hour each day on top of my current routine, and now that the weather is getting nicer we'll be taking more walks and my all time favorite excercise - swimming!

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet? I've amped up my fruits and veggies

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? Zumba 2x a week, sculpt class 1x a week, treadmill 1x a week. I need to add weekend activities as well

    Total weight loss so far? 4.5 lbs.

    How long on diet? Since foreva, but on WW-ish about a month.

    Day you weigh in? I try to weigh myself every other day.

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet? WW choc chip cookies and beef with broc.

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? Running on treadmill, The Shred, gym.

    If you get the light, it's only 1 point per wedge.  I'm working on my package of queso fresco and chipotle pepper, and it is AWESOME!

    After I originally shared it, I know some of the ladies tried it and I think we all changed it up for ourselves.  I didn't use the bay leaves, or blue cheese.  The only cheese i used was the Parm and then low fat cheddar.

  • Diet plan? Metabolism Miracle.  Basically a modified Atkins where I eat 5 grams of carbs every 5 hours.  It's hell for the first 2 months, then you ease back in w/ whole grains, etc.

    Total weight loss so far? 10lbs (I have PLENTY to lose, so it comes off fast in the beginning)

    How long on diet? 9 days

    Day you weigh in? Monday mornings

    Favorite food/recipe since starting diet? Potato-less soup.  Made w/ cauliflower instead of potatoes.  You'd never know the difference if I didn't tell you, SO yummy!  I'm also trying a low carb chili tomorrow night, can't wait!

    Exercise routine/activity/etc.? Anything and everything.  Mixing it up w/ Jillian, Sean T (INSANITY dvds), P90x, walking the dog, running on the treadmill or just lifting weights while watching Biggest Loser

    My brother and I are doing our own biggest loser challenge.  From now until mid-May.  We're both going to Vegas in June and want to look better.  $300 at stake and right now I'm smoking him w/ 3.86% weight lost to his .36%  We also created a group on FB, so our friends/family can keep up w/ us & encourage us.

  • This is from memory, so I hope I didn't leave anything out

    1 head cauliflower, broken into florets

    32 oz chicken broth

    1/2 cup sour cream (I use low fat)

    1/2 cup or more of shredded cheddar cheese (also low fat)

    1/2 stick butter

    pinch of salt & pepper to taste

    handful of chopped green onions & handful of bacon bits

    Over medium heat, add cauliflower to broth.  Bring to a boil or until cauliflower has softened.  Reserve the broth and mash the cauliflower (i use a blender or food processor).

    In a separate bowl add sour cream, butter and cheese.  Pour mashed cauliflower over mixture to fully melt butter and cheese.  Add mixture back to broth and simmer (or eat right away).  Add s&p if needed and garnish with green onions and bacon bits. 

    FYI, Original recipe says to add bacon to soup while simmering, but I don't like my bacon mushy.  So I add it right before I eat it.  <drool> I need to go to lunch...
