BFing has been one of the hardest things I've ever done -- not just in the beginning, but there is always something continuously getting in the way: finding time at work to pump, getting a clogged duct and mastitis, getting a painful milk blister, pumping & dumping b/c of antibiotics, and watching my supply tank from the stomach plague. Before Jacob, the last time I took antibiotics was in the Peace Corps 10 years ago, and I have to say that it has it's similarities to BFing -- The toughest job you'll ever love!
After this last bout of supply drop (the stomach plague), I dropped a pumping session. Then last week I dropped the other two and haven't missed my pump for a second. Jacob nursed morning and evening.
Then he got his second tooth on his birthday, and now he's chewing on me. ![]()
We made it to one year and I'm throwing in the towel! It's been a good run.
Re: We made it, and now I'm all done
congratulations!!
EBF'ing is by far the hardest thing i have ever done in my life. it's also the most selfless thing i have ever done. i usually give up on things when they get too difficult but this is one thing i haven't.
i am so proud of you! it takes a lot to get that far.
i am at the point already where i want my pump to get run over by a truck.
(and thanks for the help :P)

Puggs, I've definitely heard exercise can make the supply tank
Mar, 6 months was my goal too and by then it was just habit so I took it day by day at that point. Then around 9 months it turned into, 'might as well finish it out'!
Great job ladies!
