Taking My Cat to the Vet Today
My cat occasionally gets a swollen bottom lip which Dr. Google says is likely allergies. She's gotten this her whole life so I was never worried. For the past few days though her lip is HUGE so I'm taking her in. I HATE taking my pets to the vet b/c it scares them so bad. I'm going to be awful when I have a kid that I have to take to get shots! It just breaks my heart!

Re: Taking My Cat to the Vet Today
I don't want to just give her benadryl b/c I'm not sure what the allergy is from. I never realized that she got this (I noticed that her lip would poof and I'd call her Angelina Jolie), but it wasn't that big and would go away in a day. This time it's huge - like half the size of a penny (imaging that on a cat's face) and it's been there for a few days. Last night it got kind of white on the top. I'm just worried about my little baby!
aww poor thing.
And yes you will. Yesterday Ava started to get sad during her oral meds and by the time she had to get her two leg shots she was a mess. I had to hold her and she is starting just now to cling/cuddle and she clung like nobodies business...broke my heart haha
Oh, no! Hope it's nothing serious!!!
Poor kitty!
My cat growing up would get a puffy lip if she got into certain people foods - usually things that were salty. This cat was nutso and absolutely LOVED green olives. So, we knew whenever she had stolen one because her lip would puff.
I hope it is something simple. Hang in there!

We had a cat that loved olives too! So strange. She especially liked if you'd put an olive on a papertowel. Something about the olive taste/smell on the papertowel smell drove her insane. She'd hug all on the towel and lick it until we took it away.
