Commute time from north to south on 35?
I live in the Wells Branch area and have to be somewhere on South 1st St. at 8:30 am tomorrow. Google Maps tells me 35 is the best route. What time should I leave? I was thinking 7:20. I'd rather be too early than late.

Hmm.. that is highly highly dependent on traffic, which is pretty bad heading south. I always drove up from S. 1st to round rock on mopac looking at everyone northbound and feeling really bad for them.
I'd leave at least 50 minutes before that, and probably take Mopac since there is a lot of construction if you're crossing the downtown area coming from 35. Exit cesar chavez, go down to the bridge, and hang a right on s. 1st.
