how are you ladies doing?

i have nothing to report. lol. except that my dr thinks i might have pnemonia (lovely) so i had to have a chest xray last night and should get the results back today.

  • Oh no Kim! Hopefully the xray comes back clean.

    I started C25k on Monday. I'm starting at week 4 because I figured I'm not completely out of shape and can run for a longer chunks of time. I'll repeat week 4 twice and then move on - I have 8 weeks until my 5k!

    Still rocking the classes at the gym. Even though my kickboxing class is only 1 day a week, I can definitely tell that my upperbody strength has increased. When I first started the class, I would have to do some of my pushups on my knees. Now I don't have to at all. And, I can do a lot more pushups than I thought! Yesterday, we did probably 80 pushups total, including a set of 20 at the very end of class. Spin class last week totally kicked my butt but I hadn't been in 2 weeks so I'm guessing that's part of the reason. Also, Zumba is back, starting tonight! So yea...classes 3x a week now and C25k....lots of working out for me! I'm excited!

  • I've been really bad the last week with my C25k....like only ran once. DH and I were out of town all weekend again (into the week, just got back yesterday morning.) We had a ton going on, so I didn't get a chance to fit it in. I am DEFINITELY going today.

  • I am still doing the vegan thing, and my body feels better and healthier than ever.

    As for the exercise part, I've been lacking there.  It's been a bit too cold to run, the weather is supossed to be in the pluses for the next two weeks so I'm hoping it will encourage me to go running more.

  • It has NOT been a good week for me on this :(  Velvet has had a knee injury for a while now, so I called the vet out.  I had to give her meds orally Thursday thru Monday, get x-rays on Tuesday and now I'm supposed to cold-hose her leg and massage pain stuff in it twice a day for at least one week plus lightly walk/trot her (not riding).  I work 9-5  :(  There goes all of my "free" time.  Probably not much working out for me for the whole week.  Gotta keep a good diet, that's for sure.

  • Kim!  I hope you feel better!  Pneumonia... that's awful.  Stay well. 

     I am heading out the door to the gym now.  Debating whether to swim or do something else.  I feel like I should swim, I haven't done that in a while.  I've been doing yoga OnDemand in the morning after getting home from work (even when I work 3 in a row) and it has made me feel so much better.

    Not sure what it is, so im taking antibiotics to see if it gets better.

  • on our 3rd week of P90x now. I'm down 8 lbs, so yay!! Still haven't seen any physical changes on my body..that I"ve noticed other than the numbers on the scale. But I'm trying to be patient.

    We did however go out to eat at olive garden for DH's bday today...so I'll just have to work my butt off the rest of this week to make up for it haha
