Did you sell your wedding dress?
I put my wedding dress on Craigslist to sell and someone contacted me asking if it was still available. Now I'm torn on whether or not I really want to sell it. It has been hanging in the bag since the day I took it off but I also love the dress and am afraid that once it's gone, I'll regret selling it.
So I wanted to see if anyone has sold their dress and if they regret it or if they think they made the right decision?
Thanks!
Re: Did you sell your wedding dress?
I didn't sell mine, but I had it made into a baptismal gown for my DD. The remaining portion is cut into a million pieces in a bag in my basement with plans to make a male baptismal outfit should we ever have a son.
I'm a pretty sentimental person but I don't regret not keeping it in its original condition at all. It honestly would have sat in a bag in a closet or a basement forever without much further thought.
Good luck with your decision!

Well, I did sell a wedding dress once, but it was for a wedding that never happened...and I was glad to be rid of it!
I'm the sentimental type, and I don't think I could sell my real wedding dress. I brought it up once, just before the wedding, and DH actually got upset about the idea (he's more sentimental than me sometimes). So, I had my dress preserved and it's in a box in a closet. I might pull it out on our 10th anniversary (assuming it still fits), or use part of it for any future children we may have (SIL made me a garter from their mom's wedding dress, which was really special for us since she passed away 20 years ago).
The Fluffy Cat says... "Boxes are the best toys ever invented!"
I waited so long for our wedding that I couldn't bear to sell mine. Infact, DH almost had a heart attack when he realized how much the dry cleaner wanted to clean and preserve it (but when he realized I was sniffling he stopped flipping out). Soo, it's all nice and pretty again and in a box in the guest room.
I can go and visit it any time I like.
