Been MIA...
Life hit me all at once and I really haven't been online in a while. DH lost his job right before Christmas and started another job in the beginning of January. He absolutely loves it, and it seems like this company actually does right by their employees. We have a new president at the college where I teach and there have been layoffs all over the place...I'm really worried because registration is in 2 weeks and I haven't seen the summer schedule. My car died and we bought a new car (which is a highlight, but still an unexpected expense). My brother and a friend of ours are STILL living with us even though they were both supposed to be out by now...
I've been too exhausted to get on the boards and post...I'm trying to catch up now that life is cutting me a little slack!

Hey lady! I'm sending you positive vibes for your job, I hope everything works out for the best! And as for your brother and friend staying at your place, is there any way you can light a fire under their butts? I know from friends who let siblings stay with them in the past, the longer they stay the harder it is to get rid of them!

Thanks ladies! I've missed you all too! I feel like there was so much to catch up on! So I found out that my course load will only be cut by 1 class a semester which isn't too bad and I'm picking up that slack by teaching online
Trust me I've been trying to get them out. Unfortunately in FL people don't need to legally change their address...so long as they have been living in your house they can claim that as their legal residence so the kicking out isn't as easy as one may think. Our friend is trying to get out, he only recently found a job. My brother has a job, just no car and no place to live. He ruined his credit and really doesn't make a lot and refuses to get a roommate after his last situation. I told my mom she needs to take him back lol
